NOTICE: FY2026 Revaluation of Real and Personal Property
NOTICE OF EARLY PUBLIC DISCLOSURE
Assessors: Michael A. Morrissey, Scott Darling, Marlene Stanisewski
This notification pertains to the Recertification process required every 5 years by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue. The Town of Montgomery Board of Assessors requested early public disclosure and is in the process of completing the Fiscal Year 2026 recertification as required by Massachusetts General Law Chapter 40, Section 56 to achieve full and fair cash value. Preliminary certification is currently pending. The assessed values reflect the estimated market value of properties as of January 1, 2025, based on sales between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2024. The revaluation resulted in real estate value increases of approximately 3% and possibly higher in some specific cases. The valuation increases can vary depending on the numerous physical factors and the use of the property (ex: Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Mixed Use or Vacant Land). Download the FY2026 Property New Values List.
